How I Skyrocketed My Income Overnight: The Power of Adding a Zero

Posted On Feb 20, 2024 |

Discover the sassy and transformative journey of how one simple change in pricing strategy led to a tenfold increase in income.

Oh, get ready, because I'm about to spill the tea on how I turned my income from "Oh, that's cute" to "Oh wow, that’s freakin’ awesome!" with a move so bold, it might just make you gasp.

Adding a Zero 10x’d my income

Yep, you read it right: I added a cheeky little zero to the end of my prices. And before you drop your cuppa and think I've lost my marbles, let me take you on a stroll down the lane of my business evolution.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Just adding a zero? That's it?"

But hold your horses, because this isn't just about slapping an extra digit onto a price tag and calling it a day. This move is more like the cherry on top of a very deliberate sundae of hard work, personal development, and a sprinkle of daring.

10x really IS easier than 2x

Let's rewind a bit. For the longest time, I was that person. You know, the one who undercharged and over delivered, thinking that this was the only way to attract clients and make a name for myself. I was practically giving away my services, hoping for that elusive breakthrough. But let me tell you, the only thing breaking was my spirit—and possibly my bank.

But then, something magical happened. No, I didn't stumble upon a secret formula or get bitten by a radioactive entrepreneur. I simply started to do the work. Not just any work, but the deep, sometimes uncomfortable inner work that makes you question everything you've ever believed about your worth and what you bring to the table.

I invested time and energy into honing my skills, not just to be good, but to be extraordinary. I read books, attended workshops, sought mentors, and practised my craft for hours. I became so well-versed in my field that I could probably do it in my sleep (though, for the record, I don't recommend working in your sleep—rest is important, guys!).

But more importantly, I worked on my mindset. I started to understand the value of what I offered and realised that by undercharging, I wasn't just doing myself a disservice, but my clients too. How could I expect others to value my work if I didn't value it myself? It was time for a change, and oh, what a change it was.

So, one day, with a mix of excitement and sheer terror, I added a zero to my prices. It felt like stepping off a cliff and hoping I'd sprout wings. And guess what? I did. Not only did my confidence skyrocket, but the quality of my clients improved dramatically. No more haggling over pennies or dealing with clients who didn't appreciate the work. The clients I attract now are serious, committed, and more than happy to invest in quality.

Now, I can hear some of you saying, "But what if people say no?" And to that, I say, "What if they say yes?" Because many are. It turns out, when you set your prices to reflect the value you provide, you attract the kind of clients who aren't looking for a bargain bin deal—they're looking for someone who can deliver exceptional results.

You can 10x your income too!

But let's not forget, this isn't just about me. This story is a testament to what's possible for you, too. There is a world of abundance out there, just waiting to be claimed. It's not reserved for a lucky few; it's available to anyone willing to do the work, both inside and out.

So, if you're sitting there, wondering whether you can make a leap like this, I'm here to tell you, you absolutely can. It might not happen overnight, and it will definitely require effort, but the rewards? They're beyond what you can imagine. It's not just about the money (though, let's be honest, that's a pretty nice perk). It's about stepping into your power, valuing yourself, and realising that you are worthy of abundance.

In the end, adding a zero was more than just a pricing strategy. It was a declaration of self-worth, a commitment to excellence, and an invitation to the universe to bring it on. And, darling, the universe delivered.

So, here's my challenge to you:

Start valuing yourself and your work. Invest in your skills, nurture your mindset, and don't be afraid to take bold steps. The road might be bumpy, and there will be days when you doubt everything. But remember, every great achievement starts with the belief that it's possible.

And who knows? Maybe it's time for you to add a zero, too. 💖
